Precap is a delightfully simple tool for organizing and collaborating on projects and events of all kinds.

What is a "precap"?

It's a useful word. The word precap is a blend of pre & recap. In other words, a precap is like a recap, in advance. It's a tightly articulated preview of coming events. It makes the highlights of the anticipated action obvious and eschews complexity in favor of a more human approach. In doing so, a precap makes more space for creativity and movement, a place that has been stolen by software.

It's a planning document. A precap is analogous to a simple one-sheet that holds all the details you need and none of the clutter you don't need. Precap documents are obvious, simple, easy to use, and easy to share.

And since Precap (the app) is a tool for making precaps, we decided to call it, well... just that: Precap. Obviously.

Who is Precap for?

Put simply: Precap is for anyone who has something to plan, and who doesn't want to waste too much precious time noodling with software in front of a computer.

Precap is a perfect tool for photographers, event coordinators, project managers, producers, caterers, videographers, coaches, teachers, and small group leaders. It is also a fantastic tool for those of us who are busy planning the events of “everyday life”—things like home improvement projects, vacations, parties, baby showers, reunions, or field trips.
